COURSE DESCRIPTION
In certain circumstances, rope access work is required, e.g. to access building facades in order to clean them up. To make this operation easier and safer for the user, the solution is the Skylotec ACX for personal ascent. This two-day course is designed to train the user to safely set up a rope work system and ascend/descend using the ACX device.

TRAINING LOCATIONS
In house: the training can take place in different Skylotec certified training centers globally. Two locations are present in Italy:
- via Torchio, 9 / 24034 Cisano Bergamasco (BG);
- via Garibaldi, 20 / 36034 Malo (VI).
Onsite: The training can also be also delivered directly at customer´s facilities globally.
TARGET GROUP
People requiring training to safely access eleveted structures using rope works systems. These may include window cleaners, painters, geotech technicians or inspection service providers.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- Have a basic certificate for working at height.
- Level 1 rope access operator qualification or higher is acceptable in place of the above certification.
- Be medically fit, able to participate fully and able to sign a confirmation medical statement.
LEARNING CONTENT
Participants will be able to explain and demonstrate the following:
- checking the Skylotec ACX device before use;
- pre-use inspection of main and safety ropes;
- in depth knowledge of how to tie anchor, midline and end knots in ropes understanding their limitations;
- risk assessment;
- making the work area safe and having deep knowledge of safety supervision;
- selection of anchor points;
- wide knowledge of rope work equipment;
- correct choice of the harness;
- correct attachment of ACX unit and sit board to the user;
- correct use of the Skylotec ACX unit;
- ascent and descent using the Skylotec ACX unit;
- rescue plans and how to rescue the user.
CERTIFICATE AND VALIDITY PERIOD
- Every participant that has successfully completed the course will be given a certificate.
- The certificate is valid for 2 years.
- Biennial Re-Assessment is necessary.
- The certificate will be issued after the training.
